Science in Room 3

    Force and Magnetism    Room 3 pupils enjoyed learning about the properties of magnets and how they work .   They used horse shoe magnets , bar magnets , wand magnets , ball magnets when exploring which materials attract and repel magnets   

Room 3 Art

  Room 3 learned about the famous French Impressionist Artist zoster Claude Monet.    They were inspired by his beautiful works featuring flowers and created their own versions in class.

Listening and Responding to Music in Room 3

The children in Room 3 learned about the famous composer Vicki and explored the musical concepts/elements  of pitch and dynamic through listening and responding to Vivaldi’s 1st Movement ‘Spring ‘ taken from the composition  ‘ Four Seasons’

Room 3 – Sunflower Art & Music

Room 3 were feeling inspired by Vincent Van Goghs famous work Sunflowers   Room 3 identified the individual instruments representing each character in Sergei Profokiev’s Peter and the Wolf

Starry Night- Room 3

  1st,2nd and 3rd classes in Room 3 have been enjoying learning about the life and works of the Dutch Artist Vincent Van Gogh.   The children were inspired by Starry Night and worked with paint and colour to create their own master pieces           

Room 3 – Geography/Science

Geography/ Science : ‘Types of Homes ‘and ‘How to build a House’ were themes covered by Room 3. Pupils explored the material and the processes used by builders to build a real house. Pupils completed the learning activity by creating their own houses .

Room 1 Art – The Great Wave

Pupils from 4th, 5th & 6th Classes were learning about the artist, Hokusai and his famous painting “The Great Wave”. They recreated their interpretations of this artwork
