Experiment 1
We wrapped an ice cube in 4 different materials. We then left them in room temperature for 3 hours. After 3 hours, we unwrapped the ice cube to see how they had changed. The foil was the best conductor as the cube had melted the most. The felt was the best insulator as it had melted the least
Experiment 2
We wrapped 6 cups in different materials and then poured hot water into the cups. Using thermometers, we measured the temperature of the water every 10 minutes. Then we calculated the loss in temperature. The felt was the best insulator as it had the lowest drop in temperature
